Course Description
This course examines some odf the omplex issues that impact on the provision of early childhood services for children and their families. The social, political and educational context of the development and delivery of services for children birth to six years is the focus of the course.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
On completion of the course, students should demonstrate a an understanding and appreciation of the changing nature of Australian society and the impact on service delivery for young children and their families.

Overview of Learning Activities
Preservice teachers can access 12 readings that address the twelve topics of the course. Each reading has an accompanying question or task. Students are encouraged to seek out further research on each topic.

Twelve short essays will be submitted. Each piece of written work will have an equal loading.
