Course Description
This course aids the student in conducting their research.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
The outcomes of a project include a more knowledgeable and skilled practitioner, a contribution to professional and scholarly knowledge, and some body of work or change in practice (p.16, Policy and Procedures for the Degree of Professional Doctorate approved February 2002).
Enabling Knowledge and Skills for Capabilities
Applied qualitative research skills
In-depth knowledge of theory and practice in the systems psychodynamic or complexity science and quality approaches to organisations.
Overview of Learning Activities
The project will be undertaken as per the University regulations for the Professional Doctorate thesis (Policy and Procedures for the Degree of Professional Doctorate approved February 2002).
- The student is required to undertake an independent thesis project.
- The student will be supervised in his or her thesis project. A senior supervisor and secondary supervisor will be appointed for the student. (pp. 12 - 14).
- Students will attend a regular fortnightly seminar
- Regular reports will be submitted as per the regulations (p.14)
