Course Description
This course leads on from Major Project Part A (Preparation) for the part time student, and is designed to lead you through the implementation of your prepared major project plan. You will undertake any experimental work, database construction, data loading and analyses, evaluation and final write up of your major project. You will also present your project to an internal peer group audience (internal academic staff, other postgraduate students and invited industry people).
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
This course contributes to the development of the following capabilities within your designated program:
• Advanced levels of independent and integrated practice.
• Intermediate levels of verbal and written communication.
At the conclusion of the course you will be able to:
1. Be able to synthesize and critically analyse existing literature on your particular project
2. Be able to conduct a major piece of work that addresses the set project objectives
3. Explain your major project to a peer audience (including staff, industry representatives and other students).
