Pre-requisite Courses and Assumed Knowledge and Capabilities
• You must have completed at least 96 credit points (= 2 full-time semesters) of your postgraduate program.
• You must have passed EEET1142 Thesis Preparation and Problem Solving.
• You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 for the semester immediately preceding this course.
• In consultation with your academic supervisor, you are encouraged to choose electives aligned to your project to enhance project outcomes
A Research Project involves exploring a scientific or engineering question at the frontier of knowledge.
By undertaking a research project, you will develop basic skills in analysis of literature, systematic collection of data, evaluation of data, drawing insight from results, and presenting these results in written and oral forms.
During the course, you will select a project in consultation with an academic supervisor (either of your own choosing, which is preferred, or assigned by the School). You will plan, execute, and report on this project.
The research project could be standalone or contribute an individually assessable component of a larger research effort. The scope of this project should be defined in consultation with your academic supervisor, but should align to your chosen specialisation.
This course relates to a full-time research project.
