You are assumed to have industry experience in supply chain, engineering, integrated logistics support, system management, maintenance and reliability, system design.
Course Description
In this course, you will learn the overarching framework around the premise of supply chain management, performance and capability continuum, the three critical components in the continuum, namely operational excellence, supply chain integration and collaboration, and virtual supply chains. You will learn the basic concepts and principles of supply chain management with focus on the above-mentioned three critical components and in the context of system support of defence systems. You will become conversant with the continuous improvement strategies among the partners in the supply chain. With a thorough understanding of inventory management, just-in-time, and e-supply chain techniques, the course helps you to explore creative ways of managing supply chains for support complex systems. The issues of integration, coordination and collaboration across organisations and throughout the supply chain will be addressed and discussed using case studies. The content includes:
