Course Description

Note: This course is not currently available. There are no plans to reintroduce it in the near future, as well.

This course is associated with industry experience in a full-time employment position, that is related or relevant to a future career in the field of software development. This course is intended to combine with Software Development Principles and Practice to form one semester of continuous approved industry experience (48 CP).

Having studied this course you should be able to:

Overview of Learning Activities

In addition to the work placement, other learning activities include:

1. On campus Workshops
Workshops will be conducted to assist students their understanding of the course material.

2. Electronic Discussion Forum
The online conference will be used to maintain communication between students whilst on placement

Overview of Assessment

This course will be assessed via written assignments during the semester that will require students to research and understand different standards, processes and tools within the software engineering knowledge domain, and to apply that in a comparison with industry work practices.
