Overview of Assessment

The test consists of a literacy test and a numeracy test. This test is administered through ACER.

The tests have been designed to reflect the contexts in which you are likely to exercise personal literacy and numeracy: personal and community, schools and teaching, and further education and professional learning.

The literacy component will assess an individual’s reading, spelling and technical skills in writing. The numeracy component will look at an individual’s capability in numbers and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability.

Further information on the test can be found at http://studentsfirst.gov.au/teacher-quality
