Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop and refine a range of techniques to produce technical drawings. It outlines the ways technical drawing can be applied to a range of contexts where visual representation is required. People working in many industries require the skills and knowledge in this unit, and the unit is written to allow for contextualisation to a particular industry context. This work would usually be carried out independently, although guidance would be available if required.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
Assessment Tasks
Students are required to complete Six different types of assessment tasks
1. Assessment 1 - Theory assessment , - essential skilss , knowledge for enable drawings ( 10 % )
2. Assessment 2 - Selecting tools & equipment ( 10 % )
1. Assessment 3 - Isometric Drawing 1, to scale (Weighting 5 %)
2. Assessment 4 - Isometric Drawing 2 to scale (Weighting 5 %)
3. Assessmen t5 - Completion of Plan Drawing to 1-50 scale of Room 70-02-02 Theory area , with measurements to industry standard( Weighting 20 % )
4. Assessment 6 - Completion of Drawing , Parrellel Line of 15 mm copper pipe, 90Deg & 45 Deg , to scale . (Weighting 20% )
4. Assessment 7 - Completion , Parrallel Line Drawing , front & side elevation of 100mm x 50 mm down pipe to fit practical task ,to original size .(Weighting 15% )
5. Assessment 8 - Completion , Parrellel Line Drawing , Plan view of Box Gutter , Prac task to original size (Weighting 15% )
To successfully complete this unit, a student needs to be deemed competent (CA grade) in all both assessment tasks.
