Course Description
In this course you will acquire the skills and knowledge to develop patterns from a block using basic patternmaking principles.
The applies to the development of a variety of pattern styles utilising the basic principles of patternmaking, including dart manipulation and square blocking.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include three assessments or projects. Assessments will be in the form of tests for underpinning knowledge and demonstration and observation of your abillity to prepare workstations, select blocks to be used, apply basic patternmaking principles to develop patterns, test patterns and complete work. Also by questioning for underpinning knowledge.
