Course Description
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to select and install industrial type roofing components in roofs.
In some jurisdictions, this unit of competency may form part of accreditation, licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements.

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.
Assessment Tasks
Students are required to complete three different types of assessment tasks
1. Workbook activities as evidence of classroom participation ( 20% weighing)
2. Theory underpinning questions & SWMS assessment for Fit off and Install roof components ( 40% weighing)
3. Practical assessment for Continuous roof ridge ventilator Round roof ventilator( 40% weighing).
To successfully complete this unit, a student needs to be deemed competent (CA grade) in all three assessment tasks.
