Course Description
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to fabricate and install external flashings for roof and ceiling installations.
In some jurisdictions, this unit of competency may form part of accreditation, licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements.

To be deemed competent you must demonstrate an understanding of all aspects required of the competency. Assessment methods have been designed to measure your achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over multiple tasks.
Assessment Tasks
Students are required to complete three different types of assessment tasks
1. Workbook activities as evidence of classroom participation ( 30% weighing)
2. Clad a metal ceiling and wall section refer to job 68 Proj 17 ( 40% weighing)
3. Students are required to Fit steel fascia brackets and fascia to timber roof frame to suit the workstation profile #See student recording book for diagrams plans and specifications
( 40% weighing).
To successfully complete this unit, a student needs to be deemed competent (CA grade) in all three assessment tasks.
