Course Description
This course is designed to increase your awareness of OH&S issues as relevant to the AV industry. You must demonstrate the ability to work safely, identify work hazards and risk management and understand how these issues apply to the employer, employee and the law.

Learning Outcomes
Overview of Assessment
To demonstrate competency OHTH, 5237C, Follow Health, Safety and Security Procedures CUFSAF01A you must successfully complete all of the following:
1. Answer oral questions and participate in practical tasks at various stages to demonstrate understanding of underpinning knowledge.
20% During teacher guided hours in Follow Health and Safety classes
2. Produce an individual written research assignment covering relevant occupational health and safety legislation and procedures.
30% TAFE WEEK 11
3. Demonstrate your ability to work safely and follow instruction throughout the AV program, during teacher guided hours. This critical aspect of your assessment will be monitored in relevant practical courses such as Repair and Maintain AV Equipment.
