Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to research and understand a nominated site in order to plan for work for that site.

Details of Learning Activities

The major learning experience involves studio-based exercises, demonstrations and production techniques.
It is strongly advised that students attend all sessions in order to engage in the required learning activities, to give them maximum opportunity to gain the competency.

Overview of Assessment

1 x major project


Students will be tutored with a verbal and/or written evaluation of their progress, within class time.
A final assessment of Competency Achieved or Not Yet Competent will be given at the end of the course when students will submit all completed work.
To be deemed competent students must satisfactorily complete all Learning Elements and related Performance Criteria.
Grading will be offered in addition to, and after, competency based assessment.


Assessment Tasks

Assessment and submission
Students will be tutored with a verbal and/or written evaluation of their progress, within class time and upon the submission of each task.
A submission sheet should be included with all submitted work. A final assessment of Competency Achieved or Not Yet Competent will be
given at the end of the course based on the completion of all set tasks/work. The graded result may be moderated by your teacher and/or
other staff. A penalty of 5% per week applies for late submissions.
The assessment tools are as follows: 3 x session exercises (50% total), and 1 x project (50%).
To be deemed competent students must satisfactorily complete all Learning Elements and related Performance Criteria (see above table).
