Course Description

This course covers the outcomes required to plan documents, draft text, prepare final text and produce workplace documents of some complexity.  This course is co-delivered with CUSRAD01A

2.1 Available data, information and knowledge are reviewed and organised according to proposed structure and content
2.2 Date, information and knowledge is aggregated, interpreted and summarised to prepare text that satisfies document purposes and objectives
2.3 Graphics are included as appropriate
2.4 Gaps in required data and information are identified and additional material collected from relevant enterprise personnel
2.5 Text is drafted according to document requirements and genre
2.6 Language is appropriate to the audience

3.1 Draft texts are reviewed to ensure document objectives are achieved and requirements are met
3.2 Grammar, spelling and style are checked for accuracy and punctuation

4.1 Basic design elements are chosen for documents appropriate to audience and purpose
4.2 Word processing software is used to apply basic design elements to texts

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to
focuses on the skills required to identify, collect, organise and provide information to be evaluated for a range of purposes. This information will be used to plan documents, draft text, prepare final text and produce documents within the workplace. These documents may express complex ideas and require varying formats.
