Course Description

This course illustrates the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in a health setting with clients, staff, visitors, suppliers and others to meet established work requirements.

Performance Criteria:

Demonstrate respect for workers from different sectors and levels of the industry
Work with awareness of the roles of various organisations in the health care system in Australia

Performance Criteria:

Identify relevant organisation policies and procedures relating to awards, standards and legislative requirements of own work role and clarify any uncertainties with appropriate personnel

Teaching Schedule

The delivery design of this course allows this module to be delivered as face to face class in first and  third week of the program followed by ongoing support online through RMIT learning hub.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment will be completing case studies and observation in the workplace with questioning to address appropriate application of knowledge.


Assessment Tasks

The assessment will be competency based. You will need to be competent in all tasks os assessment to be deemed competent in the course. The assessment tasks will include
