Course Description
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. The first aid skills can be applied in a range of different settings including community and specific workplace settings. The students will be required to address physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology requirements and address specific risks and hazards related to that industry.

The learning activities will include-

Teaching Schedule
There will be face to face teaching and practical work on 23/06/11 and 30/06/11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.( with a lunch break). The students will be completing the underpinning knowledge, practical work and assessment for this course during this time. The attendance is compulsory for both days to achieve a competency in this course. You will be notified of any change in the schedule through student email.
