This course covers the skills and knowledge required to access and use computing technology used in a TCF workplace.

Overview of Assessment
In this course assessments will take place through practical activities and demonstrations.
Assessment Tasks
IT Test 1 30%
Students must display a basic understanding of some of the rudimentary functions availabe to buyers in Excel
IT Test 2 30%
Students must display a basic understanding more advanced functions availabe to buyers in Excel. This may include Vlookup, Advanced Filters, Macros and Combo boxes
IT Test 3 40%
Students must use Excel to produce a solution that will benefit a fashion related company. Solutions may include data selction, customer invoice generator etc.
Assessment Matrix
Other Information
Resubmission of unsatisfactory assignment and examination will not be permitted. One extra chance may be given to resit for unsatisfactory test if time permits. For the report, students need to submit their work in hard copy to offering coordinator in person. A completed and signed assignment sheet must be attached to assignment before submission. Failing to submit work on time will be penalized by 5% of the assessment marks per day later than the due date
