Details of Learning Activities
This unit covers the skills and knowledge to draw an accurate trade or technical drawing based on specifications and a design brief. This is a manual drawing class using primarily, pencil and fine line pen. You will be drawing garments and garment components from a variety of sources such as magazines and samples to Fashion industry standards. As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times. You are reminded of the learning expectation that you will complete an equal amount of research time outside of class as you do in class to further you understanding and to be deemed competent in this course.

Overview of Assessment
You will be assessed on a folio of exercises done in class. The work will be based on various garment details and silhouettes for a range of different types of garments.
Assessment Tasks
Ongoing assessment based on class work.
• Regular class attendance is necessary to demonstrate competence.
• You are expected to competently complete all practical class work in order for drawing tasks to be assessable.
• It is essential that you attend regularly to obtain instruction and feedback on your progress.
• Information about the specific details of each task will be supplied to you at the beginning of scheduled classes.
• You will be expected to attend, participate and complete each task to the required standard, to be eligible to be assessed and to continue with the next task.
Folio of class work will be submitted in Week 17 for assessment - 100%
