Course Description

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to source, apply and update a general knowledge of the photoimaging industry, including industry structure and operation, employment obligations and the impact of new technology.

Overview of Assessment

Interview a professional photographer to a set range of questions and then present your findings to the class in an oral presentation.

Formative Assessment

1. Choose 3 photographers in order of preference and sign off with Lecturer.

Summative Assessment

1. Interview a Professional Photographer in Australia, in person by phone or email on the following questions. You must ask them that part of the condition of this interview is that the interview will be published on the RMIT AP website.

If you get one-word responses then ask them to expand on this.

1. What do you look for in an assistant?
2. What inspires you creatively?
3. How do you deal with creative blocks?
4. What is one of the most important things that you have learned in Business?
5. In what other ways in your life do you express your creativity?
6. A question that you formulate?
