Learning Outcomes

In this unit the learner will develop the required knowledge and skills associated with communication to establish design requirements with the client, including taking accurate measurements, and document specifications to guide production. Ongoing learning is required to maintain currency of design options and teamwork is applied to ensure client requirements are identified and achieved in the design. Planning and organising skills are required to determine production requirements in relation to the design. Initiative and enterprise and problem solving will be used to create design concepts and match them with production processes. Self management will be applied to ensure design meets design requirements.

Details of Learning Activities

This course has been divided into two distinct learning areas that cover all the learning outcomes required. Design Theory the development of the  iknowledge and skills associated with communication to establish design requirements with the client. Computer-aided design is the development of designs in electronic format. students deveop skills to present their ideas in Photoshop and Adobe illustrator.  You need to be deemed competent in both learning areas to pass this course.
