Course Description

This course will give students practical lessons and experience in building effective relationships in a work place and/or industry by participating in group work.

Overview of Assessment

This course involves simulated workplace learning and deals with the skills and knowledge required to set up and maintain workplace relationships. During the course you will gain valuable professional industry experience by working on group projects.


Assessment Tasks

Assessment tasks in this unit are either ungraded or graded. Ungraded tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered as essential building blocks for more substantial (graded) assessment tasks.
To demonstrate competency in this course, you will need to complete the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback on all assessment.

Assessments in this unit are as follows:
Formative:
• Students will undertake 40 hours work experience in industry.

Summative:
• Students will be assessed on practical application of Workplace Relationships within their Major Project recording groups in the recording studio. This assessment will be made through holistic assessment of Work Integrated Learning project.

The major learning experience involves studio based exercises, demonstration and production. It is strongly advised that students attend all sessions in order to engage in the required learning activities, ensuring the maximum opportunity to gain the competency.
