Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required for effective organization outcomes in the allied health industry by practicing and promoting legal and ethical work practices to protect client safety and enhance outcomes for the organization and its clients in the broader allied health industry context.

The delivery design of this course allows this module to be delivered online with one introductory face to face teaching class on 8th Oct.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment will involve online activities and assignments with questioning to address appropriate application of knowledge.
Assessment Tasks
The assessment tasks will be in the form of
1. Online quizzes- to determine the underpinning knowledge of the students regarding the Australian health industry and the role of allied health industry, financial arrangements in this industry and role of an allied health assistant in maintaining the ethics and privacy of clients.
2. Research project- to research any selected facility for the role of the organisation and the range of services it provides,understanding and compliance with the principles of duty of care, legal responsibilities and related organisational goals and objectives.
3. Activity booklet completion.
The students need to be deemed competent in all the assessment tasks to be deemed competent in this course.
