Course Description
This course describes the basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to recognise body systems and their
components and to identify and refer alterations associated with the functioning of the human body in the context
of health care work.

Overview of Assessment
The course will be assessed using online quizzes/ assessment methods and participation in the class room activities to demonstrate the skill and knowledge required for gaining competency in this course.
Assessment Tasks
The students will be assessed in the underpinning knowledge for the body systems, the functioning of the normal healthy human body and the relationship between different systems through online quizzes.
Each topic delivered will be complimented by the assessment quiz and the students are required to pass all the quizzes with 100% scores. The quiz will be available for two weeks after the topic has been delivered in classroom.
The students will be required to discuss case studies for each system in the classroom and be deemed competent for their work.
There will be class room activities and students are required to participate in all activities to gain competency in the course.
