Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to support a range of physiotherapy treatments, including respiratory support and electrotherapy.
The application of knowledge and skills can relate to functions that assist with treatment and interventions developed by a physiotherapist. This can take place in a range of health care settings. Allied Health Assistants will operate within the scope of their defined roles and responsibilities and under supervision of a physiotherapist.

Overview of Assessment
The assessment will involve written examination and practical assessment in the simulated environment. On gaining competency in these assessments, students will undertake clinical placement for this competency.
