This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to contribute to the implementation and maintenance of work health and safety (WHS) consultation and participation processes in the workplace as part of a systematic approach to managing WHS

Teaching Schedule
The course will be introduced during a one day workshop and then taught entirely online - facilitatator led learning activities with access to learning resources 24X7 using "myRMIT".

Overview of Assessment
The following range of assessment tools may be used to assess the unit of competency:

- assess knowledge of communication strategies used to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation
- review of recommendations made to address barriers to people raising WHS issues or requesting information and data
- evaluation of support and advice provided to people involved in WHS consultative arrangements
- implementation of consultative techniques
