Knowledge of the design process as it applies to 2-dimensional forms

Assessment Tasks

Evidence of the following is essential:
• production of a range of samples or concept realisations which show the creative application of processes to 2-dimensional forms
• knowledge of the design process as it applies to 2-dimensional work.

TASK 1 -The elements & principles design writing using the city walk - due week 5
This assessment relates to learning the language of the design industry. It will involve taking photographs on a
’City Walk’ and participating in class discussion about design elements and principals followed by written exercises.

TASK 2 - WIL (Work integrated learning project)

Rug Design and Process Folio - due week 10 This project brings together all the elements of previous learning and
applies them to an A3 board displaying an original rug design with the process being shown in an A3 process folio. This project will be assessed with an industry partner.
It will be assessed on separate criteria in both this unit and the clustered unit
