Course Description

This course describes the knowledge and skills required to identify and respond to the needs of clients who may be experiencing domestic and family violence, including responding to immediate intervention and support needs.

This course applies to health and community service workers providing services according to established organisation procedures. These workers may not be specialised family violence workers.

This course will be delivered via distance learning in Semester 2, 2020.

3.4 Provide client with information about available services for meeting their needs

3.5 Complete accurate and comprehensive records, reports and referral information according to organisation requirements

Details of Learning Activities

Classes where information is shared through talks and group discussions, and exercises are conducted to apply learning. Time in class, will also be spent working on applied assessment tasks. Note: All learning activities are delivered via remote learning in Semester 2, 2020.
