Course Description
The ability to communicate concepts and ideas with work colleagues, supervisors, clients and others is a crucial skill which is highly valued by employers in the live production, events and audiovisual industries.
In this course you will practice your communication and gain the skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a presentation on a chosen topic to a target audience.

Assessment for this course will involve demonstration of practical tasks and testing of your knowledge.
Assessment Tasks
This course is assessed in combination with another unit (clustered) 'BSBLDR Lead Team Effectiveness GEDU6111C'.
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessment during and once you have demonstrated competency. You will receive a pass or fail grade for the two units relating to this Comms course, in relation to the Student Assessment Guide.
Major Project (3 Parts):
Part 1: Presentation Plan due: 23rd August 2018
Part 2:Class Presentation & Part 3: Feedback Session due: 30th August or 13th September 2018
You have up to five weeks to complete this major assessment in your presentation group (assessment preparation begins on 9th August 2018), and the milestone dates are above.
