Course Description
The unit of competency applies to estimating and costing products and services for an identified project, activity or operation.
Discretion, initiative and judgement must be demonstrated on the job, either individually or in a team environment.
Work may involve referral of matters to other workplace personnel. Work is undertaken according to established procedures involving a range of products, services and equipment.

Details of Learning Activities
Integrated learning activities in this course consists of theory and practical components carried out in a workshop environment. Throughout the course, you will develop the skills and knowledge to create custom-made footwear products. You will learn to use and work with a range of materials, suppliers and components used in footwear manufacturing.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include a range of practical and theory components. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on Canvas.
This is a Vocational Education and Training qualification and is assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace. To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

This course is assessed in accordance with the competency-based assessment. To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
Assessment will take the form of estimating and costing of a shoe that will be designed and produced by the student.
