Course Description

In this course you will extend your creative concepts, techniques and technical skills in textile design development to plan and create textile design folios, including further use of electronic files. Using computer-aided design (CAD) programs to produce textile design folios. You will develop and manipulate folio content to meet the different requirements of a client, brief and/or design specification and allow you to present and promote textile design concepts to clients or other industry professionals.

Due to delivery time frame and structure of Full time and Part-time student cohort, the unit of competencies are clustered together differently.
Full time cohort - This course consists of 2 Units of Competency that are clustered together for delivery and assessment. The other Unit of Competency in this clustered course is - MSTTD4008 Present and promote textile design concepts
Part time cohort - This course consists of 2 Units of Competency that are clustered together for delivery and assessment. The other Unit of Competency in this clustered course is - MSTGN2009 Operate computing technology in a TCF workplace

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course you will have developed and applied the skills and knowledge required to use a range Software (CAD) programs to produce textile design folios, manipulate images and content of folio to meet different industry requirements or processes.

This course is assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment. To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete all the assessment to a satisfactory standard. Competency is achieved only if competency has been demonstrated within the standard enrolment period.
