Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine design and decoration requirements, research product options and make recommendations for hard materials and finishes.

This unit applies to individuals providing advice in a retail, consulting or design studio environment. They analyse and compare product information from a wide range of sources to develop a design solution.

No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.

Details of Learning Activities

Learning activities will take place in a virtual studio classroom using industry standard tools and resources.

You will also be required to undertake independent study.

Reference mode of delivery for this course is a blended approach.

Flexible study allows you to study online via Canvas, our online learning and teaching platform, to ensure continued learning.

 

The mode is a weekly self directed lecture.

To demonstrate competency in this course you need to complete each one of the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard. Assessment is on-going throughout the course.
