Course Description
In this course students research and experiment with various techniques and media for the realisation of prints. The course outlines the way prints are produced through the use of experimentation and ongoing refinement.
The course extends students basic knowledge about printing techniques, methods and materials. Emphasis is placed on research and experimentation of various techniques and media in conjunction with conceptual development.

Details of Learning Activities
Tuition is based on instruction involving demonstration and participation. Students work on a number of projects that further explore familiar and new techniques. Handouts and project sheets are distributed and discussed at the beginning of each project.
Teaching Schedule
Week 1 Introduction and overview of the Semester’s delivery.
Week 1 - 4 Reduction Linolium Cut. Apply reduction linolium techniques to produce a series of prints.
Week 5 - 9 Etching. Specific techniques are taught to produce a series of prints.
Week 10 - 14 Woodcut print. Apply Woodcut techniques to produce a series of prints.
Week 15 General studio and folio preparation.
