Course Description
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to coordinate external quality assurance in a TCF enterprise context.
The course will include guest speakers, industry visits, research and project based learning that focuses on:
1. How to evaluate the capabilities of external suppliers/customers, including their quality systems, production processes & delivery requirements.
2. Methods that are used to liaise with external suppliers/ customers
3. How to check for conformance to specifications and maintain accurate records.

Overview of Assessment
Tasks that have not been authenticated in class as the students own work will not be considered for assessment. All work must be produced within time requirements.
Regular attendance is necessary to demonstrate that you can:
1. Interpret specifications and quality standards
2. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers/customers on quality issues
3. Interpret the results of quality assessments in terms of specifications and quality standards
4. Take required action where external suppliers are found to be in breach of quality assurance agreements
5. Maintain accurate records
