Course Description

This Competency covers the process of implementing revegetation works. It requires the ability to prepare equipment and materials for revegetation, prepare a planting site, undertake revegetation works, and maintain a revegetated site.

This Competency is taught in tandem with PUBH9694C Observe Environmental Work Practices which covers the process of observing and contributing to positive environmental work practices. It also requires awareness of relevant legislation and policies aimed at improving environmental performance.  In other words we must be sure that planned works do not negatively impact on the environment.

Learning Outcomes

This is a competency based course. Students will be introduced to a wide range of revegetation scenarios, and will acquire planning and practical skills sufficient to plan and undertake a revegetation project.


Overview of Assessment

Assessment will be based on practical demonstration of skills, 2 Reports and an open book exam.
