Course Description

This course provides participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to combine all aspects of managing small to medium projects for public art, on time and to budget.

Learning Outcomes

1. Plan allocation of diverse resources within a prescribed time line and budget
2. Co-ordinate diverse individuals and groups into a cohesive multi-dimensional team capable of achieving a project’s aims
3. Identify potential legal, fiscal and occupational health and safety issues.
4. Document and promote a project for media release.

A series of projects and accompanying visual diaries
Portfolio of work – studies, projects and workshop outcomes developed throughout the year as class projects

Students already working in the field of public art have the opportunity to negotiate projects for assessment in the context of Work Integrated Learning.
