1. Analyse the social, political and environmental influences upon public art in a variety of contexts.
2. Analyse the philosophies affecting contemporary public art practice.
3. Analyse the work of contemporary public artists.
4. Describe potential future trends in public art.
Overview of Assessment
A series of projects and accompanying visual diaries
Portfolio of work – studies, projects and workshop outcomes developed throughout the year as class projects
Students already working in the field of public art have the opportunity to negotiate projects for assessment in the context of Work Integrated Learning.
