Course Description

This unit covers the skills and knowledge to apply quality assurance standards to work operations in the patternmaking industry. To ensure that the garment produced from the pattern meets all requirements of the design specifications. This course is integrated with LMTFD4011A Cut Fabric for Prototype Designs and LMTFD4016A Sew Design Prototypes to meet customer specifications, to form a cluster called ‘Production Prototypes’.

Learning Outcomes

In a simulated work environment students will learn what a quality process in relation to garment production, measure garments, verify garment sizing 
and iIdentify quality deviations appropriate for a range situations and in preaparation for despatching a garment as per industry standards


Overview of Assessment

Students undertake a range of workshop activitiies on which they will be assessed. Tasks that have not been authenticated during class as your own work will not be considered for assessment. Regular attendance is necessary.

Learners to compile a Reference Folder consisting of product correctly labelled, packaged and with all supporting documentation, in conjunction with classroom activities.
