Learning Outcomes

The unit is a holistic unit that requires the integration of skills across the design process and focuses on the use and experimentation of design studio processes to result in the production of a fashion design product which meets specified briefs. Learning outcomes include interpretation of design briefs, how to reesearch and interpret design trends, target markets, and development of design concepts through all facets of the process including pattern, garment production and final presentation of work meeting the original brief/s criteria.

Details of Learning Activities

The course is integrated with LMTFD5015A Develop patterns for complex fashion garments to form a a cluster or learning program called Design Studio 1
In this course you will be involved in theoretical and practical tasks.
• You will be required to undertake research outside of regular class times.
• You will integrate skills across the design process and focus on the use and experimentation of design studio processes which will result in the production of a fashion design product which meets a specified brief.
