Course Description
This unit covers the skills and knowledge to develop cost estimates for sample production of products within the fashion industry.

Learning Outcomes
In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required in cost estimating for a range of garments and products developed for the fashion industry, including sample production.

Learning Activities The course is integrated with LMTFD5019A Analyse individual fit and make pattern alterations.
LMTFD5010A Develop and present Design concepts within specific guidelines
to form a cluster or learning program called Design Studio 2
In this course you will be involved in theoretical and practical tasks.
• You will be required to undertake research outside of regular class times.
• You will integrate skills across the design process and focus on the use and experimentation of design studio processes which will result in the production of a fashion design product which meets a specified brief
Develop and produce costing specifications for Assessment task 1& 2

Overview of Assessment
Detailed course and assessment requirements and information will be made available to you first week of class. Specific details will be explained to you during scheduled classes.
This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.
As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
