Assessment Tasks
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessment and where indicated, you will receive a grade. Graded assessment tasks are equally weighted and will determine your final result for this course.
ASSESSMENT TASKS:
All written and class exercise assessments for this course will be conducted and completed in weeks 1-6 inclusively and exclusively.
Assessment task one Ungraded:
1. Reflect on own role in the collaborative process: You are to write a reflection on you own role in the collaborative process of producing an interview in semester one. This is to be 400-600 words in length word processed in times new roman in font size twelve and double spaced . It is to be an examination and reflection (not a description) of the strengths and weaknesses of your work processes and their impact on your final production and you crew. This will cover aspects such as : organisational ability, interpersonal communications, levels of flexibility, clarity of questions, choice of interviewee, choice of mise-en-scene and technical accomplishments.
Due Week 4.
Assessment task two Ungraded:
2. Evidence of professionalism in communication: You are required to present written evidence of your communication during a creative production project. This takes the form of an agenda and minutes of at least one of your pre-production meetings.
Due 7 days after final day of production, as per rolling production schedule.
Assessment task three Graded:
3. Developing and refining a creative product: Evaluate and explore needs and opportunities:You are required to deliver a written storyline adapted from a true incident. Evidence of the true incident must be submitted, this may take the form of a link or a hard copy article (for example.) The storyline is to be one (1) to two (2) pages double spaced in time new roman in font size twelve and is to conform to the structure and content of film treatments as taught in semester one. Examples of how to write treatments can be found on the Screen Australia website if revision is required.
Due week 5.
Assessment task four :
4. Develop concepts to an operational level: Engage in a collaborative process: You are to complete a short answer test in the week four (4) class to demonstrate competency in understanding the content communicated in the briefing by Victoria Police.
