Course Description
This course covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage a straightforward project or a section of a larger project including production aspects of film and television production.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to manage your own film/video production project and actively participate in other projects in a range of roles. You will have learned the practical application of a range of industry procedures for planning and launching a production.

Assessment item 1: Final draft script
Due date: 10 days before first day of shooting. 10% of total assessment.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASKS
A demonstrated professional approach to advising and maintaining lines of communication with all parties involved in the production of the Major Project, eg: local government, Police, location providers, etc.
A demonstrated professional approach to time and organisational management.
Initiate and organise production meetings with relevant student colleagues.
SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASKS
1. Final Draft 10% (Two weeks before the first day of the production)
2. PreProduction Documents 30% (Ten days before the first day of the production.)
3. Final Call Sheets 20% (One week before the first day of production)
4. Final cast/crew time sheets 10% (One week before the first day of production.)
5. Deliverables (rough cut DVD, director self assessment, 1stAD self assessment, 30% (Two weeks after the final day of production.)
