Introduction to course. Assessment briefingfor formative assessment task- reflective writingand debriefing -  Due for week four. Discussion on first semester project.

You will be required to demonstrate your understanding and ability to communicate and behave using professional production protocols for a creative project. Assessment will be on going and will include participation in the blocking exercise done during class.
Attendance at pre-production meetings of all crew members and considered and considerate feedback to all stakeholders and interested parties, plus punctual, prepared attendance at all shoots as scheduled will be assessed. Assessment for this is ongoing. Crew evaluations sheets will also be used for this.

Assessment Tasks

Assessment tasks in this course are either formative or summative. Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered essential building blocks for the more substantial summative assessment tasks. Summative assessment tasks in this unit are graded.

To demonstrate competency in this course you need to complete each one of the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You must submit all pieces of assessment in order for your competency to be assessed in this course.
 

All written and group work assessments for this course will be conducted in weeks1- 6 inclusive and exclusively.


ASSESSMENT TASKS:

 All written and class exercise assessments for this course will be conducted in weeks1-6 inclusively and exclusively.


Formative assessment task:

 A written reflection of the interview assignment from semester one. This is to be 1000 words in length word processed and double spaced and is to be an examination and reflection (not a description) of the strengths and weaknesses of your work processes and their impact on your final production. This will cover aspects such as : organisational ability, interpersonal communications, levels of flexibility, clarity of questions, choice of interviewee, choice of mise-en-scene and technical accomplishments on your own interview production. Due Week 4 of semester.

 Summative assessment tasks:

1. Evidence of professionalism in communication: You are required to present written evidence of your communication during a creative production project. This takes the form of an agenda and minutes of at least one of your pre-production meetings. Due week 6.

2. Self evaluationss of performance as producer and first assistant director. Due 7 days after final day of production, as per rolling production schedule.
