Course Description
This course covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to plan, prepare and conduct interviews for broadcast.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises - written and practical and in a practical project.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment tasks in this course are either formative or summative.
Formative tasks provide the basis for ongoing feedback and can be considered as essential building blocks for the more substantial summative assessment tasks. Summative assessment tasks in this unit are graded.

To demonstrate competency in this course, you need to complete each one of the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASKS
1. In class exercises showing:
- understanding of the varieties of purposes of interviews.
- A demonstrated understanding of the varieties of styles of interviews.
- A demonstrated understanding of framing questions
- A demonstrated understanding of (eg) cultural, ethnic, age components of likely responses to questions and a willingness to work according to these differences
2. Written profile of interview

4. Conduct Interviews
Interviews are to be conducted on location at a time arranged with your teacher. (weeks 12 and 13 approx - final student numbers, class sizes and facilities will determin production dates and times). Assessment includes a self evaluation of your performance as a director. This is due in Week 16.
Your assignment will be assessed using the following grades:

CAG Competency Achieved - Graded
NYC Not Yet Competent
DNS Did Not Submit for Assessment
