Course Description

This unit of competency, Make a presentation BSBCMM401A is delivered in the class Design Studio 1, together with Create titles for screen productions CUFANM403A and Collaborate in a Creative Process BSBCRT402A. This unit will involve research and development of concepts that emphasise good visual design practice. You will also learn how to present this information in the most effective way.

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, practical project work and through the application of learned skills.

A01: Create an IDM Student code of conduct Presentation
In groups, students will undertake research and create a code of conduct that presents the principles of best practice when working in collaborative teams.
The presentation will be in the form of a sequence of titles and images.

A02: Design Studio Journal Reflection – Part 1
Throughout semester 1 you will participate in a number of group projects in the Design studio and Folio workshops. You will reflect on your participation in these activities.

Attendance
Many of the assessment tasks within Design Studio 1 are undertaken within class time, so it is important to attend all classes.

The major learning experience involves studio based exercises, demonstration and production. It is strongly advised that students attend all sessions in order to engage in the required learning activities, ensuring the maximum opportunity to gain the competency.
