Course Description

This unit of competency, Collaborate in a Creative Process BSBCRT402A is delivered in the class Design Studio 1, together with Create titles for screen productions CUFANM403A and Make a presentation BSBCMM401A. This unit gives students the opportunity to experience the process of working collaboratively and it reflects the team-based environments that exist within the interactive digital media industry.

This is the designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for C5218 Diploma in Interactive Digital Media. This course includes a WIL experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, practical project work and through the application of learned skills.


Assessment Tasks

To demonstrate competency in this course, you will need to complete the following pieces of assessment to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback on all assessment.

Your assessment for this unit will be a reflective online Design Studio Journal where you will be asked to reflect on own level of participation, your relationships with others and personal behaviour in the collaborative process.

Design Studio Assessment task 1A: Create a code of conduct.
Due week 4

Design Studio Assessment task 1B: The Collaborative process.
Throughout semester 1 you will participate in a number of group projects in the Design studio and Folio workshops. You will reflect on a minimum of 5 projects you have participated in. The choice of projects is up to you.
Due week 12

Design Studio Assessment task 1C: Copyright and legal frameworks.

Reflect on the issues that impact on the collaborative creative process.

Due week 16
