Course Description
In this unit you will effectively investigate and analyse resource usage and workplace practices, develop and promote plans in relation to environmentally sustainable work practices, to promote continuous improvement and innovation of environmental work practices and to monitor environmental and resource efficiency performance.

Details of Learning Activities
On your timetable, this competency, in conjunction with VPAU013 (Apply the elements and principals of design) and VPAU057 (Create design concepts to produce 2 dimensional artwork to finished art stage) will be referred to as Design 2.
The required outcomes described in this unit of competency contain applicable facets of Employability Skills. The qualification’s Employability Skills Summary in which this unit is included will assist in identifying employability skill requirements.
Artists and designers create art to communicate and design ideas, thoughts, or feelings and to plan, analyse, and create visual solutions to communications problems.
The application of this unit in the workplace sees an individual artist or designer analysing, planning for, improving and monitoring sustainable practices.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is on-going throughout the course. Assessment will incorporate a range of methods to assess performance and the application of knowledge and skills and will include:
Practical tasks in the form of graphic design finished artworks reflecting appropriate research/analysis and promoting improved work practices.
