Learning Outcomes
Undertaking study in this unit will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge to support groups of young people in taking action to meet their needs or responding to community issues.
Details of Learning Activities
Students will attend workshops throughout the academic year which will look at each of the competencies pertaining to this program. Held once a month, they are run by industry professionals and RMIT staff.
Teaching Schedule
Students will participate in class workshops which will involve class discussion, questions and answer sessions, simulations and case studies.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment in this unit enables participants to gain skills and knowledge that are directly applicable to their workplace while being encouraged to share current work practices. Assessment tasks involve team and individual projects and written assessment including questions and case studies. Based on your individual learning plan, you will be offered a number of learning strategies including workshop attendance, project work development and workplace support to your assessment needs for this program.
