Course Description
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to identify drawings, specifications and requirements for services in a range of medium rise and wide span commercial projects. It requires an ability to identify and evaluate differing methods and services in accordance with building regulations and standards.

Assessment will incorporate a variety of methods including written,oral, practical tasks and activities. You will be asked to personally demonstrate to your teacher/assessor the practical skills gained during this course to the relevant industry standards. Assessment Tasks
In order to be given a competent grade or higher in this course, students must pass ALL assessment tasks regardless of results for individual assessment tasks.

There is one formative assessment at the commencement of the course representing 5% of the Course and four project based assessment portfolios which represent 95% of the total requirements to complete this Course.
The Assessment Portfolio includes three submission dates during the first Semester and then two submissions dates and completion of all work at the end of the second Semester.
The project based assessments will focus on different elements of the learning activities and address the students ability to both problems solve and provide meaningful solutions.
