Course Description
In this course you will produce technical photo images for clients. You will be required to
develop a project brief with a client, plan and prepare shoots, supply images to clients and complete the requirements of the brief.

Overview of Assessment
Shooting assignments to a brief in the studio with time for re shoots. Planning mock ups and dialogue with the teacher are part of the process.
Assessment Tasks
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessment to a satisfactory standard.
You will receive feedback on all assessments and where indicated, you will receive a grade. Graded assessment tasks are equally weighted and will determine your final result for this course.
Assessment task 1 Graded - Macro: Due Week 7
During class time you are tasked to take a close-up photograph in the studio. The subject can be biological, or man made. The photo must be 1x Magnification or greater and the subject identifiable.
Assessment task 2 Graded - Liquid: Due Week 7
During class time you are tasked to shoot a photograph in the studio where the dominant feature is liquid. The subject should be identifiable.
Assessment task 3 Graded - Contextual Portrait: Due Week 11
Photograph a portrait on location that links the subject to his or her work / profession or activity. Your result must portray eye - contact with the person and ‘tell the story’ of their circumstance.
‘Portrait’ - can include the whole or part-figure / subject, horizontal format. The photo can be either Colour or B&W. A combination of available-light and flash light should be used.
Format horizontal or vertical.

All assessment tasks are required to be completed to a satisfactory level. If you are unable to complete any piece of assessment by the due date, you will need to apply for an extension.
