Reflect cultural awareness in work practice. Accept cultural diversity as a basis for effective work place and professional relationships
- Identify and discuss the influence of culture on human behaviour
- Identify and describe how to create a culturally and psychology safe work environment, including strategies to eliminate bias and discrimination
- Identify and discuss how to show respect with all communication and interaction withCALD clients and co-workers
Lesson 2:
Communicate effectively wih culturally diverse persons-resolve cross-cultural misunderstandings
- Identify and describe how to maintain effective relationships with CALD persons
- Identify and describe strategies to communicate effectively when a language barrier exists
- Identify and describe how to seek assistance from and work with interpreters
- Identify and discuss the issues that may cause cross-cultural conflicts
- Identify and discuss how to sensitively resolve cross-cultural differences
- Identify and discuss how to sensitively resolve cross-cultural misunderstandings
